This ultrasonic impact treatment technology from Applied Ultrasonics provides for fatigue life extension and enhancement and is based on the conversion of harmonic oscillations of an acoustically tuned body into resonant impulses of ultrasonic frequency. The energy generated from these high frequency impulses is imparted to the treated surface through a controlled action that allows one to define the exact combination of desired effects.
