PVC COATING Technical Information   Additional Information

PVC coating is a thick, flexible coating made of polyvinyl chloride. It is a synthetic material, used nowadays on everything from waterproof binoculars to insulated pipelines, from tool handles to chain-link fence. Known for its incredible corrosion and wear resistance, its long-life under the most extreme conditions, and its insulating and fire-retardant capabilities, PVC coating is useful for a wide variety of industries and is especially useful for electrical conduits.

During PVC coating, Superior Shot Peening typically uses Non-Cor®, a fusion bonded epoxy powder, inside of the part to be coated. The outside is then coated with Plasti-Bond®, Superior Shot Peening's PVC coating of choice. Non-Cor® is specially formulated to have excellent corrosion resistance, extended flexibility, to act as a flame retardant and to resist fracturing and chipping. Non-Cor® is economical and environmentally safe. Plasti-Bond® provides incredible corrosion protection, bonding performance and installed value. Of course, these coatings can be applied separately and at differing thicknesses according to the customer's specifications.
